On November 17, the 736m tunnel between the No. 4 and No. 5 engineering wells of the 220 kV line cable tunnel from Gaishan to Dongtai in Fuzhou, Fujian, was successfully completed, which also marked the completion of the 220 kV line cable tunnel from Gaishan to Dongtai, Fuzhou, which is the largest power tunnel in Fujian Province.
Gaishan Dongtai 220 kV cable tunnel project is located on the main road in the southern urban area of Fuzhou City, with complex geological conditions and high rock hardness. The tunnel has repeatedly crossed Fuzhou Metro Line 1 in operation, and Metro Line 4 and Line 5 under construction, with high crossing risk. For this reason, Fuzhou Power Supply Company of State Grid has purposefully optimized the construction scheme, using two different caliber shields, as well as pipe jacking and open excavation methods for construction. In terms of shield construction, due to the small working shaft, after scientific evaluation and objective demonstration, the power construction personnel started the construction in a separate way to ensure the safe, controllable and orderly progress of shield construction.
It is reported that Fuzhou Gaishan Dongtai 220 kV line cable tunnel project is a supporting project of Fuzhou 220 kV Gaishan Power Transmission and Transformation Project, a key project in Fujian Province. The maximum aperture of the tunnel is 5.5 meters and the total length is about 6790 meters. Two 220 kV power lines and four 110 kV power lines will be laid in the early stage of the project, and eight 220 kV lines and ten 110 kV lines will be laid in the future, which will become the main power supply artery in the southern area of Fuzhou. The whole line of the cable tunnel has also laid a solid foundation for the successful completion and operation of the 220 kV Gaishan Power Transmission and Transformation Project.
The 220 kV Gaishan Power Transmission and Transformation Project is expected to be completed and put into operation in January 2023. Therefore, after the completion of the cable tunnel as a supporting project, the construction personnel of State Grid Fuzhou Power Supply Company will also reverse the schedule, work overtime, overcome difficulties, speed up cable laying and accessory installation, and strive to complete the project on schedule. The commissioning of the power transmission and transformation project can optimize the 220 kV grid structure of Fuzhou, greatly enhance the power supply capacity of the regional power grid in the south of Fuzhou, and provide sufficient power for Fuzhou's development strategy of expanding eastward and southward, and facing the sea along the river.
